OMG I always use to hurry up when someone is coming my way to take the elevator with me. NOT ANYMORE!!! I use to say reading always teach me something. This little story taught me to wait for whoever is CUMing into the elevator. I have expectations now and I am so very ready for Caden!

Wait? You don’t know who Caden is? Let me compose myself. I am still… affected .

This book starts with lucky Makenna trying to catch the elevator where Caden is. She is a mysterious red head dressed very business-like. Caden is the gentleman who holds the door for her. And BOOM! They are trapped, the elevator stops and everything goes pitch black.

Interesting, huh?

What would you do in a situation like that when you don’t even know how your company looks like because you can’t see anything??? Would you reach for a stranger’s hand to find comfort?



I bought this book like ages ago and dammit I should have read this before! When I read the premise the first time I wasn’t 100% convinced but the author managed to put together a great story. Yes, it’s hot but it’s also sweet and dark and it hurts at times. Caden & Makenna didn’t have an easy life but they have found each other now and they seem to be pieces of the same puzzle.

Peace was not an emotion with which he was much familiar, but with Makenna, he had it. And he didn’t know how he’d ever give it up.

I just have one tiny complaint. Of course, if not, it wouldn’t be me! I wish the author wouldn’t have mentioned he was falling in love with her. I know this is fiction and romance but you don’t fall in love with someone in one day. I get they felt a strong connection but that’s it. My imagination can make up for what’s going to happen between them. RANT OVER. Sorry!

“Laya. Effing. Warren”

And guess what? Layla thought she had a great life BUT it looks like she’s missing someone…

The thing is they’re not free, they both are engaged so they’re trying to behave. Should I say Lay is trying to behave? I can’t recall Trip hiding his feelings.



Trip has all he wants but he’s also missing something in his life. He’s tired of girls wanting him just because he’s a famous character, he misses having Layla around because she’s the only one who truly loved him and he’s a man on a mission now. His mission is getting back the life he left behind in book #1

And this was also a story about a father raising his children and giving them the best education. I loved Lay’s dad, he reminded me of mine, even when he used to embarrass me as Lay’s dad…

And yeah, it was a very romantic in a swooning way LOVE STORY between two kids that think they’re love will conquer all. Come on! You’ve also been a teen and we all thought the same!!!



And the end??? Yes, if you guys have read this book you know what I’m talking about. I loved that LETTER!!!

And this is what I put in my pre-review after I finished: Loved it!!! OMG! I feel like I want to call my high school boyfriend, who happens to be my best friend, and tell him to read this book! So many good memories! I don't think his wife is a fan of my idea so I'll just drop it hehe.

The past is a mirror to the future that cannot be shattered.



Time's Forbidden Flower is the second installment on Lily's & Donovan story. It's really hard to review this one without spoilers so I'll be very vague because I want all of you to give this series a try and I want you to go blind.

This is a love story, a special one because Lily & Donovan's love is Forbidden. Why you ask? Because they're siblings which in our society is a huge taboo, isn't it?



Diane's writing style is exquisite. So easy to read, like words are just floating in the air and you can't stop feeling what the characters are experiencing.

So Donovan & Lily are living very close again and what do they say? Oh yeah, where there was fire ashes remain...

They now have their lives, their responsibilities and another significant ones to look after but when your soul belongs to someone else, you can't look pass that fact, can you?

"I'll never be in love with anyone the way I am with you"

But, is love enough to fight all demons and be together no matter what? Even when you have a family and you need to explain them you're in love with your brother?

But what happens when you discover something that proves that this love will last forever? And when I say forever, I mean forever soul mates love and all

In my opinion, this was a very well written end for their story. I wish they could have been together sooner but I understand their love was not an easy one. I loved the journey, Diane!

Lily and Donovan will always have a place in my heart!

My Life Next Door tells us the story of Samantha, a girl who practically has spent her 17 years watching The Garrets. All the time

The Garrets are her neighbors next door and Sam’s mother hates them because they remind her of her ex- in laws. They are a huge family, very noisy and carefree, they are happy. And even though Sam’s mom told her to never ever have contact with them she can’t help but stare at them all the time.

And one night while she’s spying them, Jase comes to “rescue her”.

”Hey, need rescuing?”



From that moment, they can’t stay apart. They always have an excuse to see each other and that’s how Samantha is introduced to that crazy family called The Garrets. I cannot name them all but let me say George was my favourite.

“Is Jase already gonna marry you?”

I start coughing again. “Uh, No. No, George. I’m only seventeen.” As if that’s the only reason we’re not engaged.

“I’m this many.” George holds up four, slightly grubby fingers. “But Jase is seventeen and a half. You could. Then you could live in here with him. And have a big family.”

Jase strides back into the room, of course, midway through this proposition. “George. Beat it. Discovery Channel is on.”

George backs out of the room but not before saying, “His bed’s really comfortable. And he never pees in it.”

So they start a beautiful friendship that ends up involving love feelings but they don’t want to take things quick so they remain friends... for a while.

Sam’s best friend Nan also plays an important role in this story FUCKING BITCH! and her brother Tim. He was one of my fave characters and I would have love to see him and Alice together. Tim doesn’t have an easy life but he was a good example for a lot of young guys that are totally lost and don’t know what to do with their lifes.

Sam’s mom was… AGH! I don’t even have words, not to mention her boyfriend and all that happened with the accident
But I guess Jase made it up for me big time because he was PERFECT! I have ZERO complains about him.

”I guess I like things that take time and attention. More worthwhile that way”

And yeah… I have a tiny complain. Where the hell is the end??? Seriously!!! I am missing it. I know I have an imagination and blah blah blah but come on!!!

And that resolution about the accident? Nope, I didn’t like that

All in all, this was a very well written sweet summer story that will take you back to your younger years. A story that will make you dream and believe that everything is possible in this world if you find your Jase.

WOW. What a beautiful journey! I wish this had been longer. This is the first time I read a book from this author and I’m totally speechless. I must admit I was a little reticent about this one because this is not my genre but seeing my buddies loved it I decided to give it a try and it completely blew me away. I am not giving it 5 starts because of the length (but I am pretty sure Julio is a 5 star writer).His voice is just MUSIC TO MY EARS, this was way close to poetry!

Antho and his story will captivate you. Both characters will stay in your heart forever and you will keep thinking about them when you’re done. Because you want the best for them, because you know they can be good together.

As the blurb says, this is the story of Antho who works as a surveillance operator on tower Oh-Seven-Two. He decides to rescue an assassin and take him home. Crazy, huh? Sometimes you need to do crazy things to experience LIFE!!!

There is something very special in this story, I can’t even put it under spoiler tags because you might want to open it and I’d kill myself. THAT little thing made the story way more interesting. I loved Antho, L-O-V-E-D his capacity to give love. He gave me hopes!

Just quick thoughts, ok?

This was 2.5 stars for me (I rounded up because I hate giving 2 stars, I feel bad). Why only 2.5 stars? Oh well, kinda predictable and boring. Maybe sweet stories are not my cuppa anymore. And yes, it had hot sex but for some reason that's not enough for me. I need to FEEL and let's say this book didn't make it for me but, and this is a big but, most of my buddies loved it so give it a try as you might like it more than me.

A one-night stand just wasn't worth it. Not even with a woman who soothed his shoul and made him crave to be a better man.

Okay... for starters, (and this is not a spoiler), the blurb tells you almost the 60-65% of the story. NO JOKE!. Why would you do that?

Anyway, if you read the blurb you will know what this story is about. Nothing special. Carina is in love with Max (Carina's brother best friend) but she "knows" he's off limits until they have to work together and they can't avoid the attraction between them because they are super ultra mega hot, just like most of the heroes and heroines... Sorry but I don't do well with cliches anymore :(

All in all, predictable and sweet and yeah, there are some hot scenes.

The Island is not an easy book to review. I don't even think it's an easy book to read but it's definitely a MUST READ. I know you guys might read the blurb and think this is way out of your comfort zone but if you give it a try, you'll understand what I am talking about.

Shaw is one of the bad guys, he works with some not-so-legal stuff. He’s in the middle of one important job when he meets ‘green eyes’. His world is about to change and he doesn’t even know it.

What would you do if you have been fighting for years to get where you are now and your conscience is playing games with you? What if we add your heart to the equation?



Green Eyes is just a guy who was in a bad place in a bad moment. And now, he’s no one. He’s just a thing, a toy.

What would you do if one day you have a perfect life and 1 minute later everything is turned upside down? How do you survive when you’re a slave and you’re just waiting for someone to kill you? Do you have hope or do you just pray for this to be over soon?

Hold on to hope. Count down the sand dollars, pass the time, wait and see.

Oh yeah, we are afraid of this new Lily but guess what? I like you!
