Unbeautifully - Madeline Sheehan

WOW! I loved Undeniable but I really wasn’t expecting Unbeautifully to be that freaking good!

This is the story of Danny (Deuce’s daughter) and Ripper. At the end of Undeniable we were all thinking Danny had something special with ZZ but boy, we were waaaaaay wrong.

I don’t really want to spoil anything for you so I’ll try to behave with the thousand quotes I highlighted while reading but let me tell you, baby, THIS SHIT IS GOOD!

Danny was a great heroine. Ok, she is young so she is meant to make mistakes but we all do, right?

She is hot and she knows what to expect from life until one night, until she looks at Ripper and she sees something else, something no one else see.

And well, Ripper doesn’t appreciate his life, does he? I mean, we all remember Deuce, don’t we? Yes, Ripper kinda kissed goodbye his great dick! But you know what? Danny is not a daddy’s daughter, if she wants something, she’s gonna fight for it, she’s not scared.

So… you want to know what happens? You want to know if Deuce kills Ripper? You want to know what the hell is ZZ doing in this story? You want to know more details about Eva fucking Fox and Deuce? You want to fall in love with Cage & Tegen? Ok, bitch, if your answers are YES you better stop losing your time reading my review and go buy this GREAT book!

And you, Madeline, you crazy bitch, keep writing, never EVER stop because the chemistry between your characters is just so damn special and I need your books like I need breathing!

I know this is a crazy review but I just couldn’t help it. READ. THIS. BOOK. You are sooooo gonna LOVE IT! And guess what? All this craziness, all these characters have a HUGE message for you if you know how to read between lines.

Enjoy the ride!

I wouldn’t trade mine either!

Thanks Baba for the BR.
Down London Road - Samantha Young

I am very sorry, really really sorry because I wanted to LOVE this book but it didn't happen. I loved Samantha Young when I read [b:On Dublin Street|15760001|On Dublin Street (On Dublin Street, #1)|Samantha Young||21459719] & [b:Until Fountain Bridge|17665083|Until Fountain Bridge (On Dublin Street, #1.6)|Samantha Young||24657968]. They were WOW, amazing books, re-read worth it so I had expectations for this one... The thing is, in life you better have no expectations at all so you are not disappointed, right?

I must say I love Samantha's writing style and I will read more of her books, no doubt but I have to be honest and I cannot give this book a high rating because in my opinion and with all due respect, it does not deserve it.

This is the story of Jo & Cam. We knew Jo from ODS. Ok, let's be honest. I didn't like her in ODS so I knew it was going to be hard to like her now but well, the author explains us the situations Jo has been through so you kinda understand her now. There's something I can't approve on her behavior and that's taking advantage of her "hotness" to attract guys with money. No! That has a name in my country and that's totally wrong, unless you want to do it professionally, I respect that.

I know she had a hard life and she's just trying to take care of her youngest brother Cole but you can get money working (she does it that way also) but taking advantage of rich men, that's a HELL NO for me.

Enter Cam, a hot tattooed guy. Jo sees him and feels an instant electricity, connection or whatever. Seriously? I need a plot, I need them to have feelings for a reason, not just because they're the hottest persons on the earth. I get it that they can feel attraction but that's it, don't try to sell me anything else in the first pages of the book because I can't buy it.

I will be back on my review after work today but these are my main issues:

*The way she uses men (even if she does it for a reason, I just don't care)

*Malcolm, I loved him but I wasn't suppose to love him, right?. I just don't understand that they have been together for a few months but he's willing to wait for her after Cam breaks her heart, seriously??? Is that happening in real life?

*The way she thinks she's not worth it BUT when she refers to her she's the hottest thing ever . Baby, chill out!

*Joss, yeah, the heroine in ODS. Are you telling me she was the same character??? I get she changed because of Ellie & Braden but come on! I didn't recognize her at all, she was a new character for me.

*All the drama with her mum, you guys know I love drama but even this was way too much for me.

*Her jealousy about her ex-girlfriend from 10 years ago!!! OMG, noooo!

*Waking up after having sex and being with him 1 or 2 days and being in love! Don't try to sell me that because I just don't feel it.

*The story was very very very slow at the beginning, nothing happened in like AGES!

I also want to say a few good things about the book because the author deserves all my respect:

*I loved the sex scenes that I read. Samantha knows how to write sex scenes in my opinion.

*I liked knowing about Braden/Jo & Ellie/Adam.

*I want to know more about Hannah, she's a smart ass but I love her anyway.

*I loved the moment when they almost kiss but she just stop it and he says:

"So we're back to pretending there's nothing between us"

I had goosebumps but it was the only time that it happened.

BTW, I am more than ok with cheating on books, I never had a problem (I loved Thoughtless so that says it all). What I didn't like about that was that she didn't leave Malcolm before because of his money but it wasn't the cheating what bothered me.

Also, and to be TOTALLY HONEST, if watching Issac Jones in action counts as mental cheating, I am guilty too!

Hard Head (Head, #2) - Damon Suede

Thanks Baba for telling me about this one!
Shatterproof (Shattered Glass, #3) - Dani Alexander

Can't wait for Darryl's story, this is gonna be AWESOME!!!

“Do you know what I did to the last guy that called me Tinkerbelle?"

"Slept with him?"

Darryl was silent for a second. "After that.”
This Girl (Slammed, #3) - Colleen Hoover

Yes, I am talking backwards, I know, I ROCK! LOL

Ok, I wanted to write a nice and sweet and romantic review but you guys already did that, you guys even wrote slam, how can you be so AWESOME??? What can I do now??? Ok, I am not gonna write slam, I seriously don’t want to show my super talents haha.

I loved this book, yes, I did so why am I not giving it 5 stars? Simple, you just need to keep reading my review to find out.

This girl.
My mother would have loved this girl.
Too bad she was just a dream.

This Girl tells us the story of Will & Lake, just as Slammed but this time Will is the one telling us their love story.

Will, you are soooo perfect that I had to roll my eyes so many times it hurt. Seriously. I mean, I like reading about perfect characters but sometimes authors don’t keep them real and that’s what I felt while reading this.

“Sometimes two people need to fall apart to realize how much they need to fall back together”

Yeah, that’s the thing about Hoover, she knows how to write and how to make you feel because I highlighted the whole book, true story.

The thing is after Slammed and POR they are together, this is not a spoiler, this is something you know when you start this book. They are in their honeymoon and after a lot of “action” they are having a break (super rolling eyes) and Lake asks Will to tell her how he lived their story. So he starts…

And Lake is just adorable, as much as she was in Slammed & POR.
Long story short, they meet each other because they’re neighbors and then BAM! Will is her teacher so they can’t be together. Tough shit!

“I guess I’ll see you third period, Mr. Cooper”
I’d so much rather be her Will.

What did I love the most about this book? The slam! I must say I love this series because I had never heard about slam before and I love it! Will new slams where just GREAT, not to mention the old ones that made me cry…

Then this girl
Holy hell, this girl

I also loved their Suck & Sweet moments, I keep playing that with my friends. And Would You Rather!!! OMG, that’s soooo funny.

So, let’s play something… Would You Rather reading my ranting about this book or not? If you chose no, the review is over at this point. If you chose yes, keep reading. I swear I wasn’t going to say this but then I wouldn’t be honest and I need to be.

These are the things I didn’t like about the book:

*Will was way too sweet for me. I get that he’s the main character and main characters are always perfect but sometimes they’re not real.

*Their sex in the honeymoon. Not the sex per se but how many times did they have sex? She was a virgin, right??? Why do authors do that? We all have been virgins and we know you don’t want to have sex more than 10 times the first time you’re popping your cherry, right? That’s unbelievable and authors should know better. But well, that’s just my opinion

*They got married before having sex in 2013??? Are you kidding me??? Is this an American thing? Because that’s NOT happening in Europe and I very much doubt it’s happening over there. Why do authors think we are gonna love the MC more if he “respects” her until they’re married?

Anyway, overall I loved this book but I cannot give it a 5 because I had some issues. Really hope you guys don’t want to kill me now but I wanted to be honest.

Let me say I loved being in his head, Will Cooper is a great book boyfriend, not real but a great one!

The Fault in Our Stars - John Green

There are almost 33000 reviews of this book. Why do I try to write one? I just don’t know but I do know that I have to let you know my thoughts about this AWESOME book.

I love YA. Even if I take YA holidays sometimes and stop reading it I can’t deny it’s one of my fave genres. This book and Forbidden are probably my favourite YA books and right now I cannot decide which one is my absolute favourite.

I knew about this book, I knew how it ended and I thought I couldn’t read it because the story was kind of personal for me but I will talk about that after my review.

This is the story of Hazel Grace & Augustus Water. Hazel has cancer and she meets Augustus at Support Group. They are ADORABLE. Hazel is the teen I always wanted to be: intelligent, funny, a great daughter and a very strong kid.

There is only one thing in this world shittier than biting it from cancer when you’re sixteen, and that’s having a kid who bites it from cancer

And Augustus… well, he’s just then teen boyfriend I always wanted to meet: charismatic, positive, funny, happy and a GREAT best friend.

”I enjoy looking at beautiful people, and I decided a while ago not to deny myself the simpler pleasures of existence”

Hazel Grace is just like us, she loves books and she specially loves her favourite book “An Imperial Affliction” by Peter Van Houten who happens to be her best friend, but let’s say this is a one-sided friendship. I also want a lot of authors to be my friends!

She tells Augustus about the book and he obviously reads it because he would do ANYTHING for Hazel Grace.

”Love is keeping the promise anyway”

Enter Isaac, Augustus’ best friend. He’s the best friend I always wanted to have. A romantic, a fool romantic who has cancer in his eyes…

This book is about love, friendship, fight, hope and life. And about infinites

As I mentioned, Hazel is obsessed with Peter Van Houten. Apparently he never finished his book An Imperial Affliction so she decides to mail him asking for answers. Because as she said, authors shouldn’t end their books if they’re not finished, right? I am gonna do the same with some authors…

And of course, if you ever do decide to write anything else, even if you don’t want to publish it, I’d love to read it. Frankly, I’d read your grocery list.

I might have mentioned that to one of my favourite M/M authors. I am pathetic!

The days go by and Hazel and Augustus cannot stay away from each other and their relationship is soooooo freaking sweet. OMG, I am in love with Augustus Waters, he’s probably the BEST book boyfriend EVER.

”Oh my God, stop flirting with me!. We both know that okay is a very flirty word. Okay is BURSTING with sensuality”.

I just loved how the author made me laugh so much. I mean, I was reading a book about kids with cancer, I wasn’t supposed to be laughing but I did. I did because those damn characters camped in my heart and they are planning to stay there forever.

”It would be a privilege to have my heart broken by you”.

And you feel you’re discovering love for the first time with them all over again. Like true love, that kind of love that comes from a friendship. A love that is not based on how hot you are but how interesting you are. A love that is based in understanding each other, in accepting that we are grenades that can explode, in being there for each other no matter what.

This is probably one of the best and most real love stories I’ve ever read in my entire life. I will never EVER forget this book, I actually ordered the paperback as I need to smell the book, I need to hug Hazel and tell her she’s my new best friend even if this is also a one-sided friendship. I need to tell Isaac that his special person is going to come to his life one day and he’s gonna know what real love is.

I need to hug Hazel’s father and tell him I freaking LOVE him because he reminded me of my father. A lot of families should take Hazel’s family as an example. You need to give love if you want to receive love and that’s what this family did.

”The world is not a wish-granting factory”.

And even if the world is not a wish granting factory you cannot stop believing that good things will come because they will. You just need to be positive and enjoy what you have, enjoy every single second with the people you love just like Hazel & Augustus did.

”You don’t get to choose if you get hurt in this world, old man, but you do have some say in who hurts you. I like my choices. I hope she likes hers.”.

***The below is not about the book, is about my life, you might not want to read it but I have to say this***

That man on the picture was my best friend for almost 19 years, the man of my life, my half, the person who will be my example until the last day of my life. The person who taught me that reading was one of the best experiences in life. The BEST father ever!. His lungs didn’t keep their shit together, as Hazel would say and he left us three months after being diagnosed with cancer (almost 12 years ago).

While we were with chemo, and I say we because I used to go with him every Monday, I met a kid who was way too young to have cancer. I couldn’t understand why kids had cancer, it wasn’t fair.

Once my father was gone I wanted to get something positive about that horrible experience so I started volunteering with an association that helped kids with cancer: AVOI.

The guy who started this association had a kid with cancer who died and he decided to create this association to help families in that situation. He is an example for me. It wasn’t my moment anyway because everything was very fresh and I couldn’t help but think about my father every time I was with those kids and it’s hard when you go back week after week and there are some kids that are not there anymore…

This book reminded me of that association. Life sucks sometimes but while you can, get the best of it. Tell your friends and family you love them, don’t assume they know you love them. Enjoy every single second with them because one day, death will take them or will take us.

I will give years of my life for one more evening with my dad, to hear his voice one more time so PLEASE show your love and enjoy your family and friends while you can.

I don’t want you guys to feel sad about my story because I was lucky, I got to have the BEST father ever and that’s something that makes me happy…
Strings - Kendall Grey

Ladies, pls read Candace's review:

I seriously can't believe an author can say that. I was gonna read this book but hell to the no! I am not gonna read something from someone who insults their readers!
Blind Obsession - Ella Frank

How can I review this amazing book? I don’t know if I will be able to but I will try my best.

Let me say I loved Ella Frank on her Exquisite series but this book… This book is so much more than that, this is one of the best erotic novels I have ever read, period.

I cannot spoil anything for you because I know my Pip, Candace, will spank me and as much as I would love her to do that I just want you all to experience this book without knowing anything about it. I want you to feel how the characters involve you in their story, I want you to feel you are a part of their lives.

The story commences with Gemma traveling to France to interview Philippe, one of the most famous artists in the world. When she arrives in his chateau she has a difficult task, she needs him to open up and tell her a hard yet beautiful story and that’s when Gemma gets to meet Chantel, a mysterious musician who also is Philippe’s muse.

Philippe is broken, fucked up, totally lost and Gemma tries to help him as much as she can but I guess you can’t help someone that doesn’t ask for help, can you?

And he has a HUGE problem, he is OBSESSED with Chantel and let me tell you that’s wrong. In my opinion that was his biggest problem. He is stuck in his past, his happiness is based on another person and oh my god, that’s just terrible.

Obsession: the state of being obsessed with someone or something.

Philippe needs to learn that the only thing that exist is the present and that was his mistake. He probably needs a conversation with Eckart Tolle, he needs to learn the power of now. Because Philippe, let me tell you that the only real thing is the now.

I finished this book 24 hours ago and I still don’t know what to say in my review, I know I need to come back and complete this at some point but at this moment I just don’t know what else to say.

I just loved Ella’s writing style. This book was hot, ok, I am not going to deny this but this is not what captivated me. I was captivated by the original story, by three amazing yet complicated characters and by amazing surroundings.

As Baba mentioned, we got to read one of the best erotic scenes at 74%, Ella you ROCK and you have probably ruined my future erotic M/F novels…

And the end… Loved it, big time. I wouldn’t change ANYTHING as the story wouldn’t feel that real. That is all.

If you have finished this amazing book, go read last chapter in Philippe’s POV. Do NOT read it unless you have finish this book:

I wanted to add more thoughts/quotes about this book but I really don't want to spoil the story so that's all for now...

Hijo de Caín. Una jugada maestra (Querido Caín) (BEST SELLER)

Querido Caín - Ignacio García-Valiño

Loved the film, need to find this in english/spanish.
Until Fountain Bridge (On Dublin Street, #1.6) - Samantha Young

I absolutely adored this book. I had a stupid smile on my face all the time because this was soooo sweet, yet hot, yet adorable... LOVED IT!

If you have read [b:On Dublin Street|15760001|On Dublin Street (On Dublin Street, #1)|Samantha Young||21459719], you know Ellie is Braden's little sister and Adam is Braden's best friend. Ellie has a crush on Adam since she's 14 years old and she's been writing about this in her diaries. I must say I loved the way the author told us their story.

Adam & Ellie are living together (you already know that from ODS) and Adam finds Ellie with her diaries so he starts reading them with her and we go back a few years to know their story.

It was a special book for me because as Ellie, I also write a diary since I am 13 years old but I would literally DIE if my boyfriend reads them, specially the one when we started together. What a drama queen I was! LOL

Long story short, Adam finds out that Ellie has been in love with him since forever and he wants to know everything that he has missed.

Truth to be told, he's been an arsehole for a good part of Ellie's life but to be honest, he didn't know she was so in love with him.

I'd learned there were some things in life you could never take back

But once Ellie is grown up, Adam puts his eyes on her and even if he tries his best to avoids his feelings, there's nothing he can do because love conquers all.

If you loved, ODS, go read this freebie. It was GREAT! Samantha Young did a great job again creating a beautiful and steamy story.

Thanks for your rec PIP
Knightmare - T.A. Webb
***FIVE HUGE STARS*** Full review now up.

MADRE MIA! This book was just WOW! I need book 3 like NOW, how am I going to survive until June???

Dammit! I have a lot of things to say about this gem but in Spanish! I can’t make justice in my Spanglish but well, let’s try. Mr Webb did it again, yeah, he played with my sanity once again. He’s a sadist and he’s going to pay for this, karma is a bitch… just saying.

This book starts with my Marcus desperate to find his Benjamin. I just couldn’t believe what happened, I mean, I really wanted to shout at Benjamin, to kill him. I know you are damaged and broken and all but be careful with my Marcus!

He imagined this was what hell would be like. Having something within your grasp, but never being allowed to touch it

But I also understand Benjamin, he’s had a hard life and he doesn’t know how to open up, he doesn’t know how to love but he knows he loves Marcus back and love conquers all, right?

But you know the worst of it, don’t you, Benjamin? It means you have to take care of him too. You have to dust off that pile of rubble in your chest and try to glue the pieces back together. Then you have to offer it to him and hope he sees it for the gift it is and trust him

Knightmare is like watching one of those thrillers that have you biting your nails (yeah, I don’t have any at the moment). Do you know when you don’t want to look at the screen because you know something bad is about to happen? Yes, that’s what you are going to feel reading this book, you will devour it because the way the author tells the story will get you totally desperate and in need of more. Is it June already?

Mr Webb you better keep writing this kind of stories because they are unputdownable!

After all these thoughts you might think this was just about finding what happened with Ben and not about a hot couple but you’re wrong because the author managed to fit one of the best hot scenes in M/M books that I’ve read. I just love Marcus, that guy is seriously hot and I love him even more when he’s so demanding.

And once again, GRACIAS for that dedication, I am still speechless.

*** READ. THIS. SERIES.*** You'll love it!

Go read Monique’s EXCELLENT review and find out about other books in this Pulp Friction series:

Once again, THANKS Monique for introducing me to this author ;)
Nuttin' for Christmas - Will Parkinson

I am soooooo happy I gave this one a try. Sometimes you are lucky enough to cross paths with a great story and that's what happened to me yesterday.

I am very surprised that this book worked for me because I don't usually like fantasy and I hate Christmas but this is one of those books that will leave you smiling for a while, believing that everything is possible.

This is the story of Eli & Tommy. Eli is trying to save Tommy but Tommy is a very angry young man who isn't happy as his life hasn't been easy despite of his family is very rich. Money can't buy happiness, right?

What will Tommy do when he realizes that life can be beautiful? Yeah, you need to read this book to find out.

If you want to smile like a fool, if you want to believe that HEAs are possible and life is as good as it gets then read this story.

Come on! It's a freebie and it won't take you more than 30 minutes, you'll love it:

I can't wait to read more from this author, his book Pitch will be released in August :)

P.S. Nicky, you ROCK! That is all
Almost Like Being In Love - Steve Kluger Loved it. Review to cum after my holidays
The Prince (The Original Sinners) - Tiffany Reisz

Tiffany did it again. I used to think Nora was based on her but now I am pretty sure she is more Soren-ish. Poor Andrew, he must be Kingsley!
This book starts just after The Angel. As you might remember Nora was running off (cruel bitch) to meet boring Wesley and Soren was left alone (no worries Sir, I will always be here for you).

This is two books in one, maybe three books in one and let me explain you why. We get to meet young Soren & Kingsley, we get to know more about adults Soren & Kingsley and we get to deflower boring Wes.

Young Soren is scary, like these guys who don’t speak with anyone at all. He’s always playing his piano, always with his thoughts until Kingsley arrives to his school.

Kingsley is a womanizer, typical hot French guy with hot accent who always gets what he wants. But this time he wants Soren, he feels an special attraction that he can’t deny and he wants to submit to him at any cost.

In this book we get to know Kingsley better. He has feelings and I think it was my favourite character in The Prince. Tiffany Reisz is able to make you love or hate a character, no matter the idea you had about them before.

While we’re getting some information about their younger life together, we also see how Kingsley’s love for Soren is still there and I doubt that is gonna disappear anytime soon.

”I’ve ben in love with a ghost for thirty years”

I felt like their love is the real one, like they are meant to be together during all the book. And I also felt Soren loves Kingsley. He married Kingsley’s sister to spend more time with him, that is LOVE. I know I thought Nora and Soren were meant to be together but I was wrong. Soren and Kingsley have been together for thirty years, they have been best friends, like brothers, they have been lovers, Soren made all he could to make Kingsley the man he is now. I know Reisz has no idea what a HEA means but I seriously need them to end up together somehow!

Ok, I admit it. I like Wesley! Happy? I really hope Soren is not reading this because he’s going to spank my arse, not that I wouldn’t enjoy that!.

Wesley might be the man for Nora. I am not pretty sure if she can be happy being vanilla (well, wall sex is not vanilla, right?) BUT she should try so she leaves Soren alone.

We get to meet Wesley’s world. Rich world to be exact. That guy has a palace or something like that in Kentucky with horses, lots of them. And let’s say his parent is not exactly a fan of Nora and her smart ass comments.

”I know who you are, Miss Sutherlin.”
“A fan? How nice.”

I don’t really want to talk about K&S or N&W stories because you can read the books and I will never EVER make this any justice but I want to say a few things about our lovely sadist author.

I felt I was reading REAL relationships and I need all authors to take note on this. That scene where Wesley popped his cherry was SO DAMN REAL! Because in real life, when you lose your virginity is SHIT! But authors want you to think that losing your virginity is the best thing you can experience. HELL NO! If you’re lucky, after a few times you will start having fun but NOT definitely the first time. And yes, people have morning breath, I thought it was just me after all those cheesy books!

Let me finish this with some thoughts about The Mistress… I don't know what's gonna happen with that crazy French girl, why is she alive??? I was NOT expecting that bitch to show up!!! I really really really hope K&S will end up together, I don’t know how this is going to end but I need them together somehow. I would love to see a kinky Wes but I don’t know if that’s even possible.
And then, they say Grace will have an important role, I don't want to think that she new about Marie Laure all this time because I'd kill that bitch and will keep Zach all to myself!

READ THIS BOOK, that is all
